Hey there, thanks for sharing your thoughts on 'Jackpot and Black Cat.' It sounds like you had a strong reaction to the comic. While I understand that not every story resonates with every reader, this interview really dove into the writing process and the character development of the four issues. Was there a story with Felicia Hardy/Black Cat and/or Mary Jane Jackpot (together or separate) that you actually enjoyed? It's a shame you won't be tuning in. I spent alot of time interviewing and editing this episode. Maybe there is another creator that I've interviewed, like Darryl Banks, Arvell Jones, Keith Champagne or Tom Nguyen that you may enjoy.

It seems like a situation that's causing you distress or shock. Would you like to talk more about what's happening or how you're feeling?

Hey, I'm not sure who has an obit of Frank. But I heard it from a few reliable friends that were with him originally that weekend a day or so before he passed when he went to SDCC. But, definitely a shock for sure.

I think there is a different culture shift when it comes to the consumption of the comics medium. The Asian markets of manga vs. comics of say specifically North America have different approaches. At least with a Manga you are going to get an Anime adaptation thus giving the manga an extended life. You'll never get that in North America. If you do it's too few to mention. I can only recall Axe Cop as the most recent adaptation in NA

Completely agree! At some point many of us lost the wonderment and the joy of being creative. Parents should Never stiffle your kids creativity. Let them enjoy because you never know when they will create the next geek wave

@@broke_af_games9661 I've had comic creators be guests on the show because they took a homebrew they created and made it into a comic because they didn't want to lose touch with friends

@@TGTMedia that's really cool. I was actually considering trying to put one of my campaigns through RPG Maker. But my daughter is really good with weird monsters and I think it would be fantastic to make a series of small monster manuals with her.

@@TGTMedia lol word I just wanted to make sure it was known I totally get the connections they not ridiculous I just think people dig too deep for things that aren't there sometimes or take some things too literally and one of my things I really like about spiderman is he reaches out to ALL equally, and is sure about nothing really and follows no strict standards or practices besides science but he does acknowledge higher powers vaguely. Hey we are all passionate about the characters and things that we love and no shame in that. I knew posting this, I had to make it clear that this wasn't one of those shitty hot take videos. Even Ari Gross says that he knows Spiderman isn't Jewish "...he's Angelican or something, he goes to church, gets married." So not a problem on yoru comments. I appreicate that it struck a cord for you to comment. :)

@@TGTMedia the entire premise, I reject the entire premise. I mean it sounds completely made up out of thin air, and just like an assumption more than an assertion of fact(s),. I don’t see it holding up under any scrutiny whatsoever. You can have a Jewish character nobody just wants to hear about the religion of a superhero. They want to hear about superhero shit just like when I watched Lucifer and I got sick of the cop angle being so prevalent in the show. It’s a show about the devil… I want to see angel demon crap. And Waymore than the cop stuff.

Ari goes onto say that yes, Spiderman isn't a Jewish character as he goes to church, gets married in a church, but the similarities are possibly there even if he wasn't written/created as a jewish character. But, I think it goes back to how do you want a fictional character to act or how it is portrayed on the page. No one, is going to like every character that's for sure. I mean take Constantine, the classic comic version vs. the film adaptations. The TV Shows (as short lived as it was) held close to the character origins and even the WB version in the Arrowverse (thanks to bringing back that same actor) helped revitalize that character. But, the Keanu version, as good of an actor as he is, didn't quite hit the same mark. Maybe the sequel that they are making will fill in some gaps.

When you win, you lose for certain. No matter how one tries, it always seems to be an uphill battle. Everyone has the high ground against us, and sometimes we're all Anakin.

100% agree on those statements as well. You look at the 'older generation' mentality of parents or people that just aren't connected to games. They don't understand what games actually are. Which can be a job, an escape from a hard day (if this isn't your profession) or even a place to connect with a community or your friends that you've only met online. There's a phrase: "If you do what you love then its not work." I also agree that esports is unsustainable as a career. You can probably make more as a streamer (although that seems tough with how flooded the channels are these days). Total props to those streamers have built their brands to the standards that we see today.

@@TGTMedia Content creation mixed with professional gameplay seems to be the way to go to build a career rather than just a temporary job

Great take on this, it sounds like you have some experience doing this type of content. It takes just as much time if you don't have a team around you. You play the games that draw people in, build your community while doing this, record the content, edit, post to social media, upload to the various platforms. But in the end you love what you do and maybe you've made someone's day a bit better as well.

100% agreed. There are so many times that I've gotten tilted because of being stomped by higher level players, and add to the fact that you don't know if they are actually good OR they are cheating.

Why is this cap? I mean there are some fit esports players right?
